Quality Assurance Manager


What are we looking for?

CutterCroix is seeking a collaborative, hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to help ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of the work we deliver to our customers.

Quality at CutterCroix goes beyond software testing. This role will help establish and maintain quality standards across software releases, configurations, workflows, integrations, data, implementations, documentation, training materials, and other customer-facing deliverables.

We are looking for an experienced manager who is a strategic thinker, strong collaborator, and problem solver. This person should be comfortable working across departments, building consensus, improving processes, and helping teams produce better outcomes without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.

The successful candidate will demonstrate Extreme Ownership, taking responsibility for outcomes, following issues through resolution, and continually looking for ways to improve how CutterCroix operates.


What are the duties
of this position?

  • Lead and continuously improve CutterCroix's quality assurance function.
  • Establish practical quality standards, processes, and review practices across the company.
  • Manage, coach, and develop QA team members and other resources involved in quality activities.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Customer Success, Implementation, Professional Services, Product, and leadership.
  • Review customer-facing work products for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and professionalism.
  • Oversee software testing, including functional, regression, integration, and release testing.
  • Help ensure GiddyUp configurations, workflows, reports, integrations, data, and implementations meet requirements.
  • Develop repeatable QA checklists, acceptance criteria, and review processes.
  • Identify quality risks, process gaps, and unclear requirements early.
  • Assist with defect and issue triage, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Identify recurring problems and recommend broader process or operational improvements.
  • Help improve change management, release management, incident management, documentation, and service-delivery practices.
  • Develop meaningful quality metrics and use them to guide priorities and improvements.
  • Help leadership identify quality trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote a culture where quality is a shared responsibility across the organization.


What are the requirements
of this position?

  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, software QA, IT operations, implementation, service delivery, or a related discipline.
  • Previous management or team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold team members accountable.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to see beyond individual issues to broader process and organizational improvements.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working effectively across multiple departments and disciplines.
  • Experience developing or improving quality assurance processes.
  • Strong understanding of software testing and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working with SaaS or business software applications.
  • Ability to understand business processes, workflows, system configurations, and customer requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others without relying solely on authority.
  • Ability to identify problems, determine root cause, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to personally review and test work when needed.


Experience that would be a plus

  • ITIL certification or experience with ITIL practices such as Change Enablement, Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, and Continual Improvement. Management, and Continual Improvement.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with SQL Server and data validation.
  • Experience with CRM, workflow, ERP, or highly configurable SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with APIs and software integrations.
  • Experience with customer implementations, professional services, or data migrations.
  • Experience with automated software testing.
