Quality Assurance Lead 


What are we looking for?

As a Software Quality Assurance Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating the quality team to develop, document, and execute tests to ensure the delivery of a quality business application software product. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of the product.  This position will involve testing and analysis of mobile applications, websites, and backend applications and their coding, writing test cases, test execution including identification and tracking issues through resolution. You will also participate in developing and refining user requirements, working on cross-functional teams (both internally and externally), building/deployment of new code lines in a product, and releasing innovative software solutions to potential and existing customers.  


What are the duties
of this position?

Job Duties include 
  • Responsible for ensuring that ALL quality checks are completed for every release or build to production
  • Monitor proactively any alerts and or customer related issues that may arise post deploy
  • Co-ordinate the teams efforts as needed for project and daily goals
  • Secondary passing and certifying the work of the QA employees to ensure the quality of the product  
  • Escalating concerns or issues if the product does not meet the expectations of the business
  • Generating Metrics for the department for quality, labor, and productivity
  • Backup for Operations manager for daily QA
  • Auditing the documentation of the QA team to ensure the policies are being followed and each card meets the QA standards set by the management team
  • Updating and maintaining documentation and training materials for the team when changes arise  
  • Design, develop, and document test cases and strategies for validating components that comprise the CutterCroix suite of product offerings.
  • Perform formal software functional analysis and performance analysis
  • Execute hands-on functional testing in of applications, integrations across multiple platforms and configuration scenarios
  • Work closely with small engineering teams using agile development methodologies to qualify all software projects and functionality for delivery of CutterCroix suite of product offerings
  • Ensure components of the CutterCroix suite of product offerings meet pre-defined feature, function, reliability, and performance requirements of customers and integration partners
  • Work closely with software developers to diagnose and repair components of the CutterCroix suite of product offerings using sound validation techniques and tools
  • Participate in research of new technology and validation and certification tools/methodologies to improve the delivery of the CutterCroix suite of product offerings 


What are the requirements
of this position?

Experience with testing web-based and mobile applications

  • Familiarity with multiple web browsers and OS platforms
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in diagnosing, reporting, tracking, and resolving quality issues
  • Superb communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • An ability to rapidly triage technical issues
  • Ability to understand/translate business needs into appropriate testing of software solutions
  • Ability to distill internal and customer requirements into detailed test cases for functional and regression test execution
  • Ability to provide occasional off business hours test and/or deployment support
  • Self-motivated (self-starter) team player, able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a strong work ethic

  • Minimal travel may be required

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Evening deploys and on call rotation as needed
